PET | TAO co-founder, Dr. Marc Smith, explains Eastern Food Therapy for Pets.
Hello ladies and gentleman.
Eastern food therapy – what is it?
I’m Dr. Marc Smith, co-creator of PET | TAO Holistic Pet Products.
And the unique thing about what we do is: we combine Western nutritional science with Eastern food therapy, but a lot of people don’t know what Eastern food therapy is, so I’m going to tell you.
Eastern food therapy is one of the five fundamental branches of what we call Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
It’s a way of practicing veterinary medicine that’s new, unique and it has tons of benefits.
But there’s five branches.
There’s acupuncture, there’s Eastern food therapy, there’s herbal medicine, there’s tui-na – which is essentially a way of massaging a pet, qi gong – which doesn’t really apply to pets in general, but it does in fact apply to people.
But Eastern food therapy is a way of taking foods and combining them in a certain way to help achieve balance, health and harmony in your pet.
